Week of Sep 28 – Oct 4, 2026 · every price checked live on TCGPlayer and cross-checked with PriceCharting
Sealed had a sideways week with a pulse: two climbers, two stubborn holders, and four sliders handing money back.
The sealed market spent the week deciding whether it was done falling. Two products said no and climbed. Two more dug in and refused to budge. And four kept sliding — led by a Sword & Shield-era box that spiked to $384 for a day and gave it all back.
New here? A sealed Market Price is the going rate for an unopened box — not a hopeful listing, but what buyers actually paid. Every figure below was checked live on TCGPlayer and cross-checked against PriceCharting's completed sales before it made the page. We print the number, not the hype.
The Weekly Movers

Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box
$158.97 · +9.6%
Riser. +$13.97. was $145.00 on TCGPlayer, Sep 25. Mega Evolution's newest ETB is regaining momentum while pack supply stays tight. Mega Dragonite ex is doing the heavy lifting, and sellers are discovering they don't need to discount to move boxes.

Destined Rivals Booster Box
$404.89 · +2.5%
Riser. +$9.95. was $394.94 on TCGPlayer, Sep 27. The August crash to $400 found its floor. With the last big reprint now shipped, the box is clawing back — slowly, one sale at a time.

Phantasmal Flames Booster Box
$385.65 · -2.4%
Holder. -$9.35. was $395.00 on TCGPlayer, Sep 24. Pinned under reprint rumors that refuse to die, this box is doing something harder than rising: holding. Mega Charizard X keeps demand warm while everyone waits to see if a restock lands.

Obsidian Flames Booster Box
$371.07 · +1.1%
Holder. +$4.08. was $366.99 on TCGPlayer, Sep 27. A wild ride to nowhere: $367 to $333 and back to $371 in a week. Charizard's box is volatile but directionless — the definition of a hold.

Vivid Voltage Booster Box
$314.88 · -18.0%
Faller. -$69.08. was $383.96 on TCGPlayer, Sep 29. One buyer paid $384 on September 29. By October 4 the going rate was $315 again. The ghost spike is a reminder: a single hot sale is a data point, not a market.

30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box
$145.32 · -11.9%
Faller. -$19.68. was $165.00 on TCGPlayer, Sep 29. The hold broke. After parking near $159 for a week, the box slipped to $145.32 — and GameStop is now cracking open booster bundles to sell loose packs at $14.99 in-store. Demand isn't the problem; supply keeps arriving.

Journey Together Booster Box
$205.51 · -11.4%
Faller. -$26.39. was $231.90 on TCGPlayer, Sep 20. The slide continues: down from the low $230s two weeks ago to $205.51 this week. Restocks keep arriving and the market keeps absorbing them at lower prices.

Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box
$134.42 · -10.1%
Faller. -$15.08. was $149.50 on TCGPlayer, Sep 27. Reprint fears are doing the work rumors always do: the box has given back 40–50% of its 2025 highs, and this week's slide to $134.42 says the bleeding isn't over.
What the Board Is Telling Us
This was a week of two markets wearing the same shrink-wrap. Ascended Heroes ETB is the climber. 30th Celebration ETB is a faller. The old stuff — Vivid Voltage, Obsidian Flames, Journey Together — is drifting down, because supply isn't the problem anymore and nostalgia only pays so much.
The outlier is the middle child: Destined Rivals, old enough to have crashed, young enough to rebound. Its +2.5% this week is small, but direction matters more than distance when a box just spent August in free-fall.
The reprint test. Phantasmal Flames is the market's current stress test: a box everyone wants, haunted by a restock everyone fears. Prismatic Evolutions is what happens when the restock actually shows up.
The spike test. Vivid Voltage's $384 sale and the $315 reality days later: one hot comp doesn't move a market, but it can move the market price for a day. Read the row, not the headline.
What We're Watching Next
Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection. $209.99 on TCGPlayer, Oct 2 — down from $224.99 on Sep 28. Cooling as box supply catches up.
Ascended Heroes Pokémon Center ETB. $320.00 on TCGPlayer, Sep 30 — down 8.6% in two days. The premium version isn't immune.
30th Celebration booster packs. $14.58 on TCGPlayer per their Sep 24 article — while GameStop sells loose packs at $14.99 in-store. Pack math is holding.

How to Read the Numbers
Market Price is the going rate from recent completed sales — what buyers actually paid, not what sellers are asking. Each price below is the live TCGPlayer Market Price (Unopened), cross-checked against PriceCharting's completed-sales history. Weekly move compares it to the TCGPlayer comp from about a week ago.
The takeaway
The market rhymes. Reprint anxiety is gravity — it held Phantasmal Flames down and it's still dragging Prismatic Evolutions. Spikes are weather, not climate: Vivid Voltage proved a $384 sale can vanish in days.
And the two climbers share one trait — genuine scarcity, or at least the feeling of it. Boxes people can't easily find go up; boxes that keep arriving go down. The sealed market is just supply and demand wearing shrink-wrap.
